Position Overview:
We are looking for driven, energetic and hands-on Senior Accountant to join our group and help us further grow our business. As our Senior Accountant, you will report to our Corporate Controller and be responsible for various accounting and finance functions. Responsibilities:
o Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to month-end close schedule.
o Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
o Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure that they are appropriately recorded.
o Calculate monthly commissions and implement process improvements.
o Evaluate and implement billing processes.
o Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
o Assist with analyzing monthly financial statements and explaining variances.
o Assist with preparing tax returns and various corporate filings as needed.
o Assist in the documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
o Other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or higher degree in Accounting.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
3-5 years accounting experience.
CPA a plus, but not required.
Highly detail oriented and organized.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including advanced Excel skills and working knowledge QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
