Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a property management company outside of Boston to identify an Accounting Manager to join their team.
This position is responsible for the performance and oversight of assigned staff accountants in all accounting and financial reporting for condominium, cooperative, and homeowner's association Property Management clients, while also taking a hands-on role in the accounting processes for a portfolioHighlights of the Accounting Manager position:
Property management company providing services for residential properties from ultra-luxury to affordable housing with an average client relationship of more than 12 yearsFamily-run business that provides full-service property management, accounting and financial services, consulting, marketing, leasing, affordable housing compliance, in-unit repairs, renovations, capital improvement projects and facilities management and maintenanceOffers flexibility of work hours and accommodating of any family needsTuition reimbursementHybrid scheduleResponsibilities of the Accounting Manager opportunity include but are not limited to:
Managing the daily activity and monthly close of all properties/cost centers in assigned portfolio from start to finish.
Supervising a team of staff property accountants in their daily/monthly processes.
Payment of all invoices and related cash management entries.
Creation and posting of adjusting journal entries and accruals.
Reconciliation of related bank accounts.
Maintenance of key accounting schedules.
Preparation and review of balance sheet and P&L activity with supporting schedules, as required.
Delivering financial information and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to answer queries.
Preparing monthly financial reporting packages for trustees of assigned associations.
Collaborating on year-end financial statements, audits, and tax preparation in tandem with Property Management, Controller, and CFO.
Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field2
years of senior accountant experiencePrevious experience in portfolio/property accounting, condominium real estate preferredPrior experience with Yardi is highly preferredAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environment#INDEC2023#CBDEC2023#LI-JK2MaxSalary:
