What is it?:
As an Account Manager with Bowdoin Technology Partners, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining an existing client base as well as developing new business with clients face to face. You will have the opportunity to take on some of our current accounts to build up your book of business while also having the flexibility to call into your choice of new accounts. In this outside sales role, you will sell Bowdoin's customized IT consulting services into enterprise accounts throughout the Northeast with focus on some of the fastest growing sectors of the US Economy such as Technology, Healthcare and Higher Ed.
We'll provide the training, tools and support you need to be successful and give you the professional challenge and achievement to advance your career within our fun and rapidly growing consulting group. In this role, you will be involved in the full sales cycle, from client business development, sales strategies, business qualification, negotiation, contract completion, and continuous relationship development. Our goal is to deliver excellence to our clients and be a dominant leader in the marketplace.
What Will You Do?:
Design your plan and strategies for your client base in a designated territory.
Maintain and foster your relationships with clients, whether that is checking in over the phone or taking them out for lunch.
Manage your book of business in order to meet weekly goals, annual growth and annual targets.
Grow your leadership and coaching skills by training, mentoring and providing support to junior Account Executives/Managers and Recruiters.
What Will You Need?:
2+ Years experience in a professional sales role within one of the following types of organization:
Professional Services
Staffing / Recruiting
Technology Products
Technology Services
IT Solutions
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding quotas on a consistent basis.
Demonstrated success in a metric & goal oriented sales environment.
Experience in a collaborative team environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
