Senior Business Analyst - High Education

A prestigious University outside of Boston is looking to high a Business Analyst for a long term opportunity.
The Business Analyst is an internal consultancy role that is will work with business units around campus to identify pain points and opportunities in current processes, investigate options for improving business systems, research new business systems, and bridge the needs of the business with the use of IT solutions.
The Business Analyst analyzes and understands the structure, policies, and operations of a business unit, and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. The Business Analyst assists with or leads project management, requirements management, functional design, system configuration, testing, and overall project success.
This role will have a specific focus on the expansion of the schools Enterprise Content Management Software, but will also assist the Project Management Office with new project intake activities and solution design and configuration using other enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect data and analyze business processes for different functional business units around the College

Assist with a business case for new projects; recommend potential business solutions and implement solutions
Elicit, articulate and document business and system requirements, procedures, and recommendations to improve existing processes
Weigh various suggested technical paths against original business needs and recommend the most cost-effective solution based on timing and other priorities.
Communicate technical solutions clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical personnel
Manage some projects from end-to-end
Make or gather time and work estimates for tasks
Liaise with and manage IT resources needed for solution estimation and implementation
Liaise with product vendors for research, troubleshooting, and informational purposes
Position Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements:
At least 5 years of work experience, preferably in higher education technology
Experience in designing, supporting and implementing enterprise content management solutions
Strong business/workflow analysis skills
Knowledge of data flow and process life cycles in an academic environment
Strong customer focus and relationship management skills
Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to manage projects
Entrepreneurial attitude and a strong desire to be part of a world-class organization
Comfortable working with all levels of colleagues, including people at the executive level.
Able to present to a small group or to a group of project sponsors
Flexibility and willingness to assume new tasks and special projects.
Able to work with culturally ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, and faculty
Comfortable learning new tools and trying new processes
Top Skills
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) experience
Understanding of academic environments, whether this means specific Higher Education experience, through a third party/client experience, or similar.
Experience gathering requirements for UI configurations and working with end-users to create customized dashboards in ECM tool(s).
Experience creating and maintaining IT product roadmaps

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
