An industry leading Financial Services Technology company is looking to add an Application Support Engineer to it's talented team in Wellesley, MA.
Description
The Application Support Engineer provides technical support and performs software upgrades for Industry leading financial software applications and related products.
Responsibilities
Specific job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Participating in incident management, problem management, and service request fulfillment processes
Application installation, upgrades, testing, configuration/change management, and application/hardware monitoring.
Knowledge capture and transfer, assisting others in the implementation and use of products and software
Interact with business users and technical users both internally and externally
Some off-hours support of ASP environments may be required. Minimal travel required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technology related position with demonstrated success in the field
Familiarity with the software development process, the ability to follow complex sets of instructions, and excellent attention to detail
Fundamental training with basic UNIX/Linux commands and simple SQL query knowledge
Excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Unix/Linux/Sun Solaris- understand basic commands
SQL queries-ability to learn understand basic commands
Oracle-ability to understand at basic level
