Position Overview:
Bowdoin Technology Partners (BTP) is seeking a talented player/coach to join our team as Sales Manager. In this role, he/she will be responsible for leading the sales team in providing full-time and contract technology recruiting solutions to cutting edge startups and high growth, large enterprises across all industry sectors. The Sales Manager will lead and grow the sales function of BTP, working closely with Account Executives to coach on sales skills to develop consistent pipeline and consistently achieve metrics, goals and quota. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for overseeing our largest strategic accounts and expanding our relationships and business with those accounts. This person must be hands on and lead by example. Management and Leadership - 50%
Manage, train and develop at team of 4+ Account Executives. Responsible for on-boarding and training new Account Executives.
Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, coaching, skill development and technology and recruiting knowledge development.
Coach and train Account Executives on sales skills, including providing feedback on client calls, messaging, help create successful client meetings, lead generation, job order qualification, etc.
Coach and monitor the performance of the sales team, including daily and weekly planning and achievement of metrics and goals.
Demonstrate leadership by ensuring Account Executives are mission-focused, energetic and held accountable to achieving goals and recognized for their achievements.
In collaboration with the management team, define list of target accounts and allocate across the sales team. Actively reassign accounts as needed, based on feedback.
Work collaboratively with recruiting and operations team to ensure successful delivery and placements.
Assist Account Executives in negotiating favorable terms and within established framework.
Sales and Client Management - 50%
Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals by identifying new business opportunities and expanding business from established relationships.
Spend time with clients and develop relationships to understand needs, anticipate new opportunities and win.
Manage relationships at strategic accounts and develop and execute on account plans to increase The Bowdoin Group's share of the customer's IT consulting spend.
Assist Account Executives in securing business.
As the sales leader on strategic accounts, arrange senior level client meetings and ensure accounts are being sold into through all relevant divisions and relationships.
Ensure there is constant and clear communication across the account team, clients and candidates.
Establish and effectively communicate staffing priorities to recruiting team.
5-10 years of successful sales experience and a minimum of 3 years successful sales management, preferably in the technology/IT services industry and a demonstrated commitment to client success
Proven ability to grow salespeople and develop and lead people
Experience working with the sales team in the field and coaching them to continually improve
Proven track record of breaking into new accounts, expanding existing accounts and achieving and/or exceeding quota
Skilled in identifying new business opportunities using relevant research tools / sector specific targeting and cold calling
Bachelor's Degree

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
